The Gateway Sertoma Club of Lincoln made a donation of $16,100 to the Nebraska State Stroke Association. The money will be used here in Nebraska to continue stroke awareness programs and education throughout the state. The money was raised from our annual Okto Beerfest, held every year in the fall by all the Lincoln Sertoma clubs. It will be held again this year on September 28 at the Lancaster Event Center. Okto Beerfest is Nebraska’s biggest beer festival, and the 2017 event will be Lincoln Sertoma’s 24th year of raising money for stroke.

Sertoma is a volunteer civic service organization with clubs throughout the world. The Gateway Sertoma Club meets every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at Tabitha Healthcare Services, 4720 Randolph Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. To learn more, visit or call (816) 333-8300.
